7:30 Cringe: Cringe is an international craze and monthly reading series created and hosted by Sarah Brown. Once a month, brave souls come forward and read aloud from their teenage diaries, journals, notes, letters, poems, abandoned rock operas, and other general representations of the crushing misery of their humiliating adolescence. Cringe has spawned two books, countless articles, and at least one marriage. Admission is always free.

The first Cringe was held April 6, 2005, at Freddy’s Bar & Backroom in Brooklyn. Since then, Cringe has traveled around the U.S. and across the ocean as well, and is currently held once a month in London, England. U.S. Cringe is held HERE at Freddy’s new location in Brooklyn.
