After convincing concerts in Europe and the USA, Elie, Frantz and Pascal decide to continue this beautiful adventure. The guiding theme of Speaking Tube are Revolution Songs written in different centuries. The original orchestration of this trio (voice, viola and double bass) gives the ensemble a unique sound. Melting a wide range of musical styles together, Speaking Tube is looking for instant interpretations of the songs performing them in each time an new playful way. Each of the performers feeds the other with inspiring new ideas resulting in a music that is constantly in motion by using the power of the moment. The result is a musical journey, poetic, joyful and different each time. A good time to be shared.www.pascalniggenkemper.com/
9pm-Ben Syversen’s Cracked Vessel: Ben Syversen-trumpet/compositions Xander Naylor-guitar Jeremy Gustin-drums
Making the most of the wide palette available to three musicians by drawing on free and noise based improvisation, rock music and more, the music of Cracked Vessel ranges from rocking vehicles for free improvisation to ethereal tone poems and long form narratives. This music toes the line between order and chaos; sometimes chaos springs from order, sometimes order emerges from chaos, and sometimes pieces dangle perilously between for their entirety. http://bensyversen.com
10pm- YYZ: Yoni Kretzmer – tenor saxophone mYoni Halevy – drums Zack Lober – electric bass
Liberated post-Rush/rock-band/free-jazz placed together within the frame of a classic sax-bass-drum feel create the basis for YYZ musical explorations and compositions.
