ALICE BIERHORST -
http://www.alicebierhorst.
Alice Bierhorst is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter from New York. She has released twelve albums of original material and played with countless musicians as a drummer. Her “chameleon vocals change character with each distinctly crafted song bringing to mind the photography of Cindy Sherman. Bierhorst’s painterly lyrics are unique…beautifully weird pop reminds us that less is more.” - Performing Songwriter
LUCIO MENEGON – http://www.kingtone.com
Lucio Menegon is a NYC based guitarist, composer and sonic artist. His work ranges from avant-garde, free-improvisation to melodic song and film soundtrack composition, freely mingling concepts and styles to create a juxtaposition of emotive sheer noise, small sounds, saccharine melody and punk rock energy. He has performed all over the globe as a solo artist, with the groups Prehistoric Horse, Dream Zoo, Bodice Rippers and artists such as Nick Millevoi, Moe! Staiano, Emily Hay, Richard Lainhart, John Shiurba, Amy DeNio, Gunnar Madsen, Glenn Branca and Rhys Chatham.
FIRE DEAN – http://www.firedean.com
Fire Dean’s latest set was hand picked at The Highline. Songs like “Nandina Domestica” and “Betula Nigre” read more like focal points in a site-plan than objects of desire. In fact, there does exist a history of romantic obsession and abandonment between him and every cultivar he’s chosen. If Ziggy Stardust had to fend for himself at The Botanic Garden, he might have sounded like this. Expect bandmates The Brooklyn Garden Club give songs like “Muhlenbergia Cappilaris” full sun.
