On the 10th year anniversary of the protests, activists will discuss the 6 months of rallies around the Metropolitan Detention Center in Sunset Park where non-terrorist Muslim detainees where held in restrictive isolation for up to 11 months. Abusive use of Isolation Cells have been increasing in epidemic proportions across the USA; what can be done? And what has happened to former prisoners and their families, what long term effects has this ordeal had? Come join Brooklyn for Peace, New York Religious Campaign Against Torture, Desis Rising Up and Moving, Community leaders including 2002 Rally Co-Founder and former ACLU Director Noman Siegal, for a short film, discussion and a celebration of local human rights activism.
