8pm Jon Lundbom and his band Big Five Chord play “assaultive, cleverly fun punk jazz” (Lucid Culture), “forward-thinking, boundary-stretching jazz that still manages to sit well on more mainstream ears” (Creative Loafing).  The quintet features Thelonious Monk Award-winner Jon Irabagon on alto saxophone and bassist Moppa Elliott (“Mostly Other People Do the Killing”); their new album “Quavers!
