Brooklyn, NY – Friday night at Freddy’s Bar will be redefined on April 29, when folk singer Kristen Tivey, blazing rockers Squash, the experimental rock of Eliza and the Organix, and the experi-metal punk of CCMD take the Backroom by storm. An eclectic diversity of sounds can be heard on any night. Those at Freddy’s on this spring Friday night will experience musical delight as talented and creative musicians light up the room and play the night away.
Freddy’s is truly unique in that, for all of this, one has to pay nothing. That leaves room for more of the bar’s beer, wine, spirits, and cocktails and for pure enjoyment. Choose from an amazing selection on the food menu, from bar treats such as hot dogs and burgers to healthy eats such as salads, vegetable sandwiches, quesadillas, and luscious guacamole. Don’t forget the tots!
The décor on the walls, a video loop of a drinking cat, and vintage video montages add something unique to the atmosphere as well. Freddy’s also has something else no one else has – water frogs! Grab a table or sit at the bar and make it a night. Entertainment for April 29 will be in the Backroom, a cozy and intimate space where anyone can immerse themselves in the music.
Freddy’s has been recognized by Esquire Magazine, the Village Voice, L Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, and even The New York City Tourist Board. Since moving from Prospect Heights over five years ago, it has become a South Slope staple. Read more about the April 29 line-up below:
